FUSED GLASS SERVINGWARE

The glass is fused in my studio using various metals, enamels, and metallic pigments in between several layers of clear glass.  The melting of the layers, or fusing, is achieved at 1500 degrees and can take 8-12 hours.  Some pieces are then shaped after fusing (slumping) at 1250 degrees which takes an additional 8-10 hours.  All glassware is colorfast and food safe.

Gift ideas: a small plate (6x6” and under) works well as a soap dish, candle base, or as a decorative bureau/entry table piece to hold loose change, earrings, keys, etc. Larger platters are popular for wedding presents as well as housewarming and holiday gifts.
